Worth Money !
MAKE SURE TO USE QR CODE AS THERE IS MORE INFO (BESIDES HINTS AND SOLUTIONS) NECESSARY FOR SOLVING CHAPTER OBJECTIVES!They do not specify difficulty (afaik) but I would say it is intermediate. Nothing excruciatingly hard.I am very surprised at how much content there is for 20$. Other companies I have tried, are like 5-10 bucks more or same price, but have significantly less.Game comes in a nice box, components are well made, and there are some unique approaches to solving mystery, that I have not seen before. It was really fun.The game also had proper organization with the help of case separation into objective chapters. It was very thoughtful to make “solutions” on the website have multiple choices, and not directly bump you with the right answer. The website is awesome! It is clearly a game that could be played only once, but you can always resell it or pass it on to a friend.

Such a better format than its competitors
This is way better than competing games. Please make more of these, especially like this one that can be done with 1 or 2 people and not the large group party games! There are too many of those.Pros: amazing format, great that you can do a chapter at a time & spread out over multiple nights, outstanding evidence and the amount of materials, and great creative detail. Also love the 80’s vibes.Cons: abrupt ending (please consider adding consequences & wrap-up on what happens after you solved it); our blacklight also strobes making it very hard to read with but hopefully that’s a one-off; not super clear that we were allowed to use our phones to look stuff up but one of the clues in particular could not be solved unless we used a Latin dictionary, which was super cool but we weren’t sure if that was cheating.Overall this was awesome. Especially love that it didn’t start out with a list of suspects like so many of the other games. That format is so tired and it does half the work for you. It’s so much more fun to track things down like it was in this game. I hope there will be more!

Many small challenges to solve
I really enjoyed solving this mystery with my partner. We’ve previously done 4-5 similar murder mystery games, but this one was my favorite. Unlike other games that have endless pages to read, this one struck a good balance. There was reading involved, but it wasn’t overwhelming. We completed it over a long weekend, and it took about 4-5 hours. What I loved most was the number of small puzzles we had to solve. it wasn’t just a single challenge. Although we weren’t as thrilled with the final puzzle, the overall experience was fantastic. I recommend this game for a fun game night.

Good value, unique format
This game’s linear, segmented format sets it apart from other “cold case” style murder mystery games. The whole game is the same plot line about a serial killer, but the game is divided into four discrete chapters further subdivided into three objectives, each of which you must complete before moving to the next objective. It is perfect for a family game where you’d like hard stops over multiple nights of game play. The linear organization also works well for players who are overwhelmed by more compact mystery games where all the evidence is presented at once…and not to suggest that teens aren’t focused, but this is an easily digestible format to keep younger attention spans engaged. Frankly, I really prefer games less linear than this one, but I did appreciate having hard stops where I could set the game down and come back later. The materials are quality, and the puzzles are fine. The writing is OK, although there was one objective solution that I think took a very large logic leap that shouldn’t be present in games like this - unless I missed a clue that was not covered in the hints and solution info. But overall, I think this is reasonably priced for what you receive (at least it is as of this writing) and worth buying if you like this style game. I debated giving 5 stars, but the writing and the website are slightly underwhelming.

GREAT game
Wish I could find more like this! We played this during a weekend getaway. Really fun game structure, interesting mystery, fun puzzles. Took the two of us a little over 2 hours to solve. Definitely recommend!

An afternoon of fun!
This is the best murder mystery/case solving game I've played. The props were unique, and it was a good challenge. I did this with my 12 y/o sister and she loved it! The use of the UV light and keycards was a unique aspect that I haven't seen before. It is also great for the price, and a good activity for friends/family!

Lots of content and well done structure, A+
I have done a lot of these mystery things and almost never write reviews but I made an exception for this one. In “The Night Hunter” there’s loads of evidence to review, tricky puzzles and a great episodic structure that gives you an experience you would have to pay 3x as much for from competing brands.Highly recommend.

Lots of Fun but....
we had a great time solving the murder however there was one blank page in the box which made it impossible to learn who the killer was. the blank page was suppose to have possible suspects and job descriptions however it was blank and we had to just solve online to move forward. big bummer but the rest of the story was great
