Brilliant Idea - Very Impressed
Last November I purchased a Westinghouse 9500 gas generator and just last month had the opportunity to use it after a storm in my area. I realized that I needed some type of cover for it while it was running; throwing a tarp over it wasn't really that easy because I had to make sure the exhaust had somewhere to go. After researching several different "generator tent/generator shed" options I found this and knew it would fit my generator. Received the item quickly, it is missing 2 parts so I am going to reach out to customer service and am certain they will send me the screw and bolt; I was able to use similar parts I already. The directions were crystal clear, very self explanatory and very easy for me to put it together. It looks like this will work perfectly when I need the generator again, I love how they thought of everything. There is an apron to cover the electrical panel to protect it from any rain and on the other side is the area to open the velcro for putting gas in it so you don't have to remove the tent. I am very impressed. Really happy with this purchase.

Now we have a full power backup system for our home
We recently decided to replace our aging gas fired boiler system which heats our mountain home. Decided to also put in an electric generator to back up the igniter on the boiler in case of a power outage. After shopping around looking at pricey full house electric back up systems (ouch!), I decided instead to purchase and deploy the Westinghouse WGen9500DF model at a very affordable price when it was on sale recently on Amazon and other outlets. The price was $1000s less than some of the turnkey alternatives. This powerful unit has thousands of five star reviews It is very well designed and engineered. After preparing a spot in my backyard to park the generator, my electrician and I put together isolation where he piped a 50 amp dedicated circuit to the generator location along with a special bypass switch on the electric control panel to disable power to the outside world when the generator is running and vice versa.Although this dual fuel unit can run on either gasoline or propane, I decided to go exclusively with propane to reduce ongoing maintenance cost. I bought a 20# tank with an on-board gauge. On the advice of a local propane company, buried it inside of a plastic enclosure to prevent soil contact corrosion in the future. At the recommendation of the Westinghouse support desk I bought the tent that you see pictured so it can run outdoors protected from the elements (also on Amazon). Also connected the included trickle charge to keep the battery ready to go whenever needed.Tested the system this past weekend and it worked perfectly comfortably running everything in our home. We are very pleased with how everything turned out and recommend this generator if this is the path you decide to choose for your situation.

It's great!!!
This cover does a great job of keeping my generator protected from the elements. It's tough enough to handle wind and rain, and it fits snugly over my open-frame generator. I appreciate that it's easy to put on and take off, and it doesn't interfere with the generator's operation. Definitely recommend it for anyone who needs to keep their generator safe outdoors.

Good umbrella type cover
This cover was fairly easy to install with my son's help. Although it does not protect the sides, but I know it needs to breath. Other than that... it will have to work on rainy days when using a generator for the time being... until we build some sort of shed or porch.

Sturdy and heavy vinyl fabric.
Sturdy fabric and it seems secure. My fault, but but when the instructions repeatedly mentioned “hooks and loops” I spent ten minutes looking for some kind of hooks. I suspect that there’s something in copyright laws that prevents the makers from using the term Velcro. Lots of it for the lower flap. Once I figured that out all went well. Yup, I’m old.

Wgentent canopy
Installation of the Wgentent on my Wgen9500df was very easy. The instructions were very easy to follow.Very pleased with the access to the generator after installation. Adding gasoline and accessing the display panel is very convenient.Very pleased with this purchase.

Relatively easy to install but seems frailer than it should
I wanted to protect my generator from heavy rain, and this seems to be doing the trick. The instructions could be slightly clearer (pictures are not very helpful and descriptions somewhat vague), but still, it is basically a tent, so simple to install in less than 15 minutes, probably much faster the next time around. However, I question the durability of the set up. One of the poles is already bent and shows fibers. I had to patch it with duct tape and hope for the best. And even after tightening, the side hangers can move up and down from the rubber on the frame. So, I am not sure what would happen in case of strong winds. The tent material itself looks very sturdy. We will have to see (and hopefully never will have to, as this is for power loss emergencies we all hope not to have again...).
