Style Extra Large Version by Hanafuda Hawaii

I'm from Hawaii and just learned to play this game. Perfect size. Bought these and the original small hard cards. Use these more.

I grew up playing Hanafuda with my Aunt back in Hawai'i. I love how large these cards are compared to the original ones. Plus it's great for beginners as it has the values of what cards are worth what as far as points go, as well as the hiki and yaku. I'm satisfied.

The cards came on time and I was very happy with the quality. The feel and flexibility is like a regular card deck. Same size too. If you are going camping they’re better for roughing it than the tiny , hard Nintendo version. The artwork is very pretty and it’s easy to tell what they are in this deck(although other Hawaiian decks have Hawaiian flowers and wildlife.The only thing I don’t like is the numbers on the cards. You don’t need them and there are many variations of hanafuda to play where the card values are different. I give them 5 stars for quality, beauty and versatility

Beautiful deck of cards!

I thought these cards had beautiful art work. I like playing with the classic hard cards because I love the feeling of slamming the cards, LOL! But I've been teaching my kids how to play, and these are easier for them to hold, and also the cheat sheets of the different yakus and how many cards to deal are great!! Kinda of expensive, I'd rather pay less than $10.00. These are nice and fun and I would definitely recommend for anyone from beginners to pros! Except Obachans or Ojisans, as they are probably old school and wouldn't want to play with these!Also, I like that the cards have the points on them, and a little mark to say which yaku they belong to.

Come with a sweet note which was appreciated. The cards are colorful which displays the flowers nicely and with details that I was not able to pick out on the Hanafuda small Nintendo cards.My family does prefer the colors (lack of actually) on the more original hanafuda cards, but being that one family member is much older, she appreciated the size of these hanafuda cards. It took her time to adjust to knowing the cards as she originally learned them with different names (particularly ones she calls akameshi, suite with boar; and kromechi aka wisteria flowers).But I love the colorful flowers and I'm addicted to the game.

I like the fact that they are easier to hold 'em and see 'em. The children's hands are too small to hold the traditional size and the pictures are so detailed they can match them up easier too. For me, I don;'t have to read the card up CLOSE to see it. Of course it does'nt ' SLAP' as well if you know what I mean.
