So I have a Surface Pro 3 and my orginal keyboard just died and I didn't want to fork out over £100 for a new keyboard for an older tablet that is starting to slow a bit. so seeing this for £40 here was a bit of a shot in the dark, my thought is if it works great and if it doesn't then I will return it no harm done. I wasn't expecting much as its just a Chinese knockoff of the real thing just Bluetooth and wont work unless its turned on.Pros:- fits perfectly- almost as good as original- ability to use it wirelessly makes for a great option- the LEDs can change colour and can be used in bright mode or dim mode- the keys feel great and not cheap- It works while chargingCons:Turning on the LEDs and changing colour can be a bit confusing but really not a big deal at all.Overall i'm happy with this purchase and would use them again in the future, the battery life I'm sure can be draining but I turn my LEDs off during the day and only turn them on when I want to use them(red LEDs look cool but remember they consume more power than if it was white or blue). I'm still on my first charge, and ive had it for 2 weeks.Update: I've now had this for nearly a year, it still works great! The mouse pad can get annoying if your typing or doing CAD drawings like me and make the mouse shoot off but it can be turned off so not a big deal. The battery life is awesome on this! It can literally go months without charging, the key to this is don't turn on the LEDs. Zero regrets on this purchase!Update 2: ive had this nearly 2 years and my number 5 and 6 keys stopped working randomly however i contacted the seller and they said they would offer me a discount on the new one i purchase. that's really fair! i use this every day. zero battery issues, again anyone who complains about battery life its because you have the LEDS turned on. Ive had my keyboard switched on for weeks and weeks and weeks and when not used it goes to sleep saving battery life. still the best purchase!

My original Surface 4 keyboard started playing up suddenly, hardly surprising as I work on it a lot writing technical manuals and help/FAQ articles comprising sub 500 to a few thousand words. It suddenly got the number '6' key and also the letter 'j' key confused, well, if I pressed one of these keys, both the characters would display, all the time, sometimes repeating until I unclipped the keyboard so was not ideal.Time for a new keyboard.I checked Amazon and saw the official Microsoft models were expensive, in my mind for what they are.The MoKo units seemed to look good and of a decent value for what they are, and had some decent reviews so I settled for this one.Overall the keyboard is similar to the Microsoft models with some differences, a couple of the keys are swapped about for some reason and the trackpad on the MoKo is smaller, oddly. The keys work well however with a good force feedback and a nice 'click', the trackpad is responsive but the left and right mouse click buttons are not good at all in that the amount of force used to activate these moves the cursor off the target, it is quite odd, I thought was just me but trying different ways of clicking, it is still the same - also, the selection area is more central even though clicks are felt at the edges but do not action when using this way.The MoKo is a little different to the MS version with the Bluetooth function allowing the keyboard to work away from the Surface but due to the lightness of the keyboard I do not feel this is super efficient, perhaps just me but it seems too light for this.Pairing works well and quickly on initial setup. There is a micro USB slot to charge the keyboard for the USB on the Surface and this does not seem to take long for a full charge, but there is no feedback or display to make known the level of charge. There is a power/pairing switch on the right of the keyboard, I do not turn it off and as such is powered at all times, this does not seem to make much difference to the overall power consumption but it must use a little.Aside from the odd trackpad buttons, this is a good little keyboard that is reliable and is definitely good value when compared the MS versions available.

This is a nice keyboard with a soft feel covering. It has a better button press feel than the one from Microsoft which costs 3 times as much, though the whole thing it is still rather too springy for me when in the sloping position. It is a bit better when flat on the table. (The keys are not lit).As other reviewers have mentioned it is a US layout keyboard which is a pity; living in the UK it would be nice if it was localised keyboard. You can, however, easily switch between keyboard layouts by clicking on the language in the icon tray (if US is missing there, add it as a Language setting using Windows Settings>Time&Language>Region&Language>Add a Language and pick US there). Of course, it would be better if Windows to recognised what layout your keyboard uses but this does not seem to be possible; if this existed it would be easy to switch between a desktop full keyboard and the Moko keyboard by just connecting the one you wanted and using it. Incidentally, the main difference between the US and UK keyboard is that the @ and " keys are reversed and the # sign produces £.

I bought 2 of these type covers within a week of each other. The first worked really well after the initial charge. However, after the second charge, the battery did not retain it's charge properly and the blue pairing light did not respond. I returned it. Thinking I had maybe just been sent a one off faulty cover, I reordered. Charged the new cover for 4hrs initially as per instructions. No problem with holding the charge this time but the blue pairing light again did not respond to Fn+C on any of my many attempts. The seal on the box of this second cover had been broken, so I wonder if it had already been previously returned. Obviously, I won't be buying another one. Shame.
