Not compatible
Contrary to the listing stating this is compatible with ALL Alesis models (as well as with some other mfgs), this happens to NOT be compatible with all Alesis models, as it wasn't with mine. Which, yes, I can (and have) return it. But waiting for it to arrive, which I really needed, then finding it won't work, repacking and then having to take it to a UPS location isn't a very positive experience. It LOOKED great, and the pedal had great action, so in that sense if it works with yours then I think you'll be pleased.

total crap
Let me start by saying the kit is great the alesis nitro, i love it, play it everyday. I close my eyes and it feels like I am playing real fully tuned drums. BUT I hate the cheap, low response of this bass drum. Also it's small size, the way it sways back and forth, the way the metal is cheap and bends. the way the inside wiring came apart, (on my second soldering job.) Hoping the yamaha bass works well as I wanna get back to drumming and I have no bass drum at the moment. Sad days. P.S. at least half of drummers want double bass compatability at some time or another. WTH was alesis thinking putting out a kit with limited ability.

Not for Active and Strong Drummers
This drum pad is electrically fine, but it is mid-low to low quality of material make.Through repeated hard hitting and (for me) normal wear and tear, the plastic case around the pad can break away from the mounting screws, leaving the casing to rattle against the metal stand.Luckily, the pad itself is mounted directly to the metal stand; however, the stand is made from aluminum. There is a weak point wear the metal stand attached to the pad and it eventually snaps.I've gone through two of these. I'm going to be looking for something a little more robust.
