Great filter—clean tasting water, environmentally responsible
’ve been using the Epic replacement filter (models B01J2LHFMI) for a few weeks now in my Epic Pure pitcher, and overall I’m very pleased with the results. What I love:-Superior filtration & taste – The difference in taste is noticeable. Chlorine taste is gone, and the water feels smoother and more refreshing—my family and guests have commented on it too.-Broad contaminant removal – It’s certified to remove up to 99.99% of lead, chlorine, fluoride, PFAS/“forever chemicals,” heavy metals, microplastics, and more.-Eco‑friendly & cost‑effective – Filters up to 150 gallons before needing replacement, which cuts back on bottled water usage. Plus, Epic offers a 100% recyclable filter-return program.-Reliable certifications – It exceeds NSF/ANSI standards (42, 53, 401 & P473), so I feel confident about the water quality.A couple of small downsides:-Slower flow – It’s not as fast as a Brita filter, but honestly, that’s just the tradeoff for better filtration. I don’t mind the extra wait for purer water .-Plastic pitcher concern – The pitcher itself is plastic, which made me wonder about potential leaching—but my tests so far haven’t shown any issues, and the clean taste makes it easy to overlook.Bottom line:If you're looking for a filter that genuinely improves taste, removes a wide range of contaminants, and aligns with eco-conscious values, this is a strong option. It's a bit pricier than standard replacements, but the improved performance and sustainability perks are worth it for me.

Has provided amazing protection to our family.
We just found out that our area drinking water has been heavily contaminated with PFAS for years due to a factory upriver. I’ve been using an Epic Water pitcher with a pure filter ever since I got pregnant with our twins nearly 5 years ago and I can’t tell you the peace of mind knowing that we’ve helped limit the chemical exposure to our children since the beginning of their development and on into childhood. So extremely thankful and grateful for the excellent filtration and safety that these filters provide our family. Water also tastes amazing and no longer smells of heavy chlorine. Awesome product.

Love it!
Finally a great filtering system. It is slightly slower than Brita filters, but that's why it tastes so good. It holds more than it looks. I did a lot of research and waited until this filtering system was back in stock and it didn't disappoint. I purchased the counter top dispenser and love it. No more plastic.

Works Well
Great for this specific water pitcher (does not work on Brita filters)

Works well
The filter is a little slow, but that's a reflection of the good work it does -- 99% reduction in PFAS. I can't argue with that... However, it also removes flouride, which is a drawback. The pitcher has a tendency to drip, so you have to be careful. Overall, though, I'm very happy with it. I think the water tastes better than with my previous filter. Now that I've used the filter for a while, I'll say that it doesn't last nearly as long as I expected. I wrote to the company, and a very helpful person there gave me some advice which didn't work. She then said that my filter was defective and sent a replacement. However, this one is the same. I think I've been using it for about 6 or 8 weeks and it now takes 24 hrs to filter one tank. I'm still going to use this system because of how well it filters out PFAS chemicals.Addendum: Last week I finally gave up and replaced the filter, but by mistake I inserted the one I'd given up on before (it was WAYYY to slow) and lo & behold, it worked again! So when your filter 'wears out,' I recommend letting it dry out, and try it again. It's been a week, and the old filter is still working OK.

Used for years, stops now after a week!
I've been using this filtration system for YEARS! Worked very well until the last 4 filters. A new design. It looks different on outside, but they must have also changed filtration?Nothing has changed at my house. I even run water through the filter in my fridge 1st, then the pitcher filter. Always have. The 1st filter in Feb, I thought maybe I had had it longer than I did (later researched purchase history on Amazon and confirmed I had only a week). 2nd filter I thought was a fluke. The 3rd filter Amazon gladly exchanged for free. Replacement/4th filter is the same.It works great for a week and flows right though. After a week they all just stopped working!Today, the 4th/most recent filter stopped working.I installed on 3/6/25 and had also changed fridge filter same day (just to make sure starting fresh everything). Today is 3/13/25, not working.I always thoroughly clean the entire pitcher every time I replace the filter and sometimes more often.I even went through the troubleshooting guide and tried everything which did not fix the issue. Please advise if you guys made a change? They look different on the outside but why are they working differently?I emailed the company directly also. Not sure what I'm going to do. It's the only filter that filters fluoride.I'll update if something good changes.
