This is the only poison Voles will keep eating.
This seems to be a poison that pine voles (the burrowing species) will eat. I started putting this in my bait stations and checked 2 days later and bait was gone from 4 of my 12 bait stations, 2 others bait was it was partially gone. This is the 7th brand of rodent poison I’ve tried and it’s the first they would eat and keep eating. Some green pellets from Southern States, brand I cant recall, was being eaten by them for a few days, but I guess it killed too quickly causing the survivors to have bait shyness and won’t eat the pellets anymore but once they find this Kaput they appear to be eating it. When they start dying off in large numbers, watch out for fleas, ticks, mites and lice that apparently abandon the dead voles in search of new hosts, and we’ve been half eaten alive by these parasites that we’ve never seen in our 39 years here. Doctors put us both on heavy antibiotics to prevent lyme disease and others after we were eaten up.Anyway, I'm hopeful this Kaput keeps working so I might get my yard back.hidden bait stations under pine needles or straw or leaves next to active holes, anything to make them feel safe from predators seems to help.i bought what I think is a very good vole bait station system specifically for voles only. Google “Vole Control System” and check it out. they come with or without this Kaput poison. This poison is the only one I know of that states on the label that it kills voles and so far, its working here in my vole infested yard in Kentucky. What an absolute nightmare these past 4 months have been since I discovered it was a vole infestation killing everything, and I’d never heard if a vole before this. We counted over 200 vole entry holes and a local exterminator we called to take a look estimated we had as many as 1,000 voles on just our 1/4 acre. Who knows how many including on neighboring properties. And have you read about the speed at which they reproduce? What a nightmare.

Works great and is safe around our dog
Working great to rid our property of voles! My husband made homemade dispensers that he has to keep refilling. I'm about to order a second container. This has been safe to use around our dog. Apparently the ingredient used, it would take a lot to kill a dog...that being said, we still keep an eye on her as we have several dispensers and she has been known to catch and bite a vole now and then. I originally bought this because I lost hundreds of tulip bulbs and a dozen burning bushes were severely set back because the voles gnawed/girdled them the winter after I planted them...UR!!! Death to voles!!!

Works Well
I use this to kill voles. The trick is to keep a steady supply available.

Plain and simple - this stuff didn't work for me
I purchased to get rid of my vole problem. Plain and simple - this stuff didn't work for me. The voles weren't touching this stuff. I tried The Giant Destroyer last fall and had moderate success with that. About half the colonies didn't have any holes that I could see open back up this year - but the other half did. I tried Manning UE-12 Underground Exterminator this past weekend. We got heavy snow the evening after trying this so I'm going to have to wait until the snow melts to see how effective this works. Will update post later if it's effective.

Great for Voles
I use this in bait stations for voles and they ate it up. I have used other baits with mixed results but this one is first on their dinner menu. They do not seem to develop an aversion over time either. I have found dead voles and my plant damage has really decreased so I endorse this bait.

If your trying to kill VOLES
this product probably works on mice pretty well..but if you are trying to kill voles. go to YouTube and find a video on killing voles with those VICTOR mousetraps. I bought this whole bucket of poison because I count get rid of the voles eating tons of holes into my lawn. The poisons didn't work. tried moth balls. no luck.used this product, didn't work.tried the victor mousetraps (the plastic kind (one hand easy set)). just put some peanut butter in the trap, set it. put over trap. cleaned out 9 of them within a week.Again. this product is probably great for mice inside or in sheltered area, but not on VOLES.
