Perfectly frothed almond milk (microfoam!!)
I've had this bodum milk frother for over 2 years now, and have used it once or twice every single day in that time. Obviously, I'm obsessed. I use it with Elmhurst Milked Almonds and it creates literal microfoam, which is amazing and exactly what I was looking for. (I have occasionally tried other alternative milks; none get quite the same effect as Elmhurst Milked Almonds.) The unit is easy to clean and small enough that it fits into the average cabinet. There have been a few instances where it would seem to stop working (a horrible "stuck" noise) -- what I found is that if I just pour the milk out, take the metal frother out and put it back in ensuring it's properly placed, and let it do a cycle with water, it all is better and runs like new afterwards. This has happened maybe 3-4 times per year for the last two years? Now having it for over two years with daily use, I am noticing that the motor seems to not be quite as strong as it once was -- and I have to do less milk in it than I normally did. Which, is actually more user error than anything else, because I always put waayyyyyyy more than the "max" line and now I just have to keep it under/at the max line lol. Honestly I highly recommend, I take it with me everywhere, and I'm absolutely obsessed with the foam it creates. (I just remembered that it has different types of cycles -- I only ever use the first one which I think is like the "latte" one.)

Do not purchase. Stops working without reason and no help troubleshooting. Bodum non-responsive.
Terrible purchase. DO NOT BUY. The brother stopped working on its own after a week of use. I couldn't figure out why? I left a product problem ticket with Bodum and received no reply. Messaged Amazon and they said that they were not responsible. I trusted the company because of my Bodum coffee pot. Guess very poor judgement on my part as a coffee pot is not similar to making a machine. Kindly heed warning and I should have listened to other reviewers. Wasted money.

Breaks very quickly - No support from Bodum
Bought this in December as a gift. Worked well for a few months and now just stopped working. I contacted Bodum support and they have not been any help to resolve the issue or offer any solution. So if you want a milk frother that lasts less that 6 months buy this one. If you want one that last I would recommend a different brand.

Nice froth
Easy to make a good milk froth hot or cold. I was surprised. It also makes a great frothy hot chocolate without needing whipped cream but be careful what mix you use. The fine powder mix like Swiss miss work most of the time but some blends that are coarser need pre mixed before adding or it makes a loud noise and doesn’t work. It does take a long time too so you only get two small cups or one large every five or six minutes. Definitely do not overfill! Not easy to clean the heating element once covered in milk and sugar.

Does the job
The media could not be loaded. I was away for work for two weeks and was spoiled by my morning cappuccino. When I came home I was using my little hand wisk but those really aren’t made for daily use so I went to the good old internet and googled best frothers. This was one of the suggestions that came up. I was split between a few but with this I decided to pull the trigger because of the sleek design and dishwasher safe pieces. So far I’m happy. As others have noted it’s a noisy little machine but it gets the job done and with significantly more foam than I was getting with my hand held. It’s nice to set it and walk away and it works while my single serve coffee maker is also brewing.I had some trouble with the hot chocolate function. I put in a packet of coca mix with milk and it exploded. I never read the directions on that so maybe I’m not supposed to make coca that way. I have not used the cold frother function but I don’t anticipate using cold foam anyway.I typically use skim or 1% milk and I combine that with some flavored creamer. Haven’t had any issues with the frother with this combo.I don’t know if it will stand the test of time but for right now I’m happy with the purchase. Does the job, small footprint and cute.

Nice Looking, but Needs Improvement
This looks decent for the price, but leaves much to be desired operationally. It froths milk, but you can only get lots of foam. There is no option to get less foam. Don't bother buying it for the hot chocolate option. I followed the hot chocolate option per the manual, and it did not heat up at all. Not even a little, it wasn't even luke warm. I tried several times with the same result.

Great until it's not
Great, easy to use until the disk came off. Apparently it's glued on so after about 10 months it just came off. I guess you have to be very gentle in cleaning the removable wire whisk which attaches to the stem. We have been taking the wihisk off to get the milk off the wires.
