Hot Shot Ant Bait, Kills the Queen and Colony, Works for 6 months, Pack of 1, 8 Count

I was able to buy this locally and then it disappeared. Other ant traps just didn’t work. This clear plastic container has liquid in it and within two days of setting it on the counter behind the sink the ants disappeared completely and haven’t returned. I was ecstatic when I found it on Amazon and with the multipack I won’t worry about not finding it again. It is magic and it leaves no mess or odor and is almost invisible. Amazon got it here so fast. The hardware store wouldn’t even order it. They said it was discontinued….well not on Amazon!

In Florida, boy, we get many types of ants. Even in my hens coops. We use nailers, tack them in areas where the girls can’t get to and no more ants! I even put them in our cars as the evil things get in there. I highly recommend them.

I had a kitchen ant problem. Other brands did nothing. This seemed to work at first, but the ants came back. Not sure how effective in the long run, but due to having multiple flower beds by my home I might not have been able to see if there were colonies? They are very easy to set up though.

Hot Shot ant baits are my go-to for getting rid of ant invasions. The baits are so simple to use. Just break the bait house off from the set of 2 and place it or them in the line of the ants or where you believe they might be coming in to your house. I like to place them where children and pets can’t get to them because they smell like peanut butter which is what attracts the ants, but I don’t want them to be a temptation.The housing for the bait allows you to handling them without touching the bait itself which makes them much safer than using liquids.I feel safe placing them on the edges of counter tops if there are no children in the house. They can be placed further in to keep them out of reach if needed. Ants are drawn to the peanut butter and take it back to the nest and it kills the colony.If I have a heavy infestation it can take a couple of days to be fully effective but if I catch them right away I can stop an infestation from starting.During a very hot, dry period my sister had a huge infestation that was coming into her home looking for water and then food. This even though her husband was spraying ant and spider spray all around the exterior of their home. Ants are persistent when they need water. Ants were not only all over their kitchen island they were also coming up drain pipes under their home and swarming the bathroom sinks and tubs and into their laundry room. We placed bait traps behind trash cans, between the washing machine and the wall and just under the open bag of dog food. In one day the ants in the bathrooms and laundry room were gone.In the kitchen simply sprayed a bleach and water combo on the counters once a day and wiped them dry so the ant tracks hauling away the poison were eliminated in seconds with no residual. Please keep in mind that Lysol products have to sit on counter tops etc for 15 minutes to kill germs and poison ant tracks where a mix of 1/4 cup bleach to 6 cups of water kill everything on contact and leave no residue. That’s my public service bit. lolBottom Line: This is a fabulous product and you should try it. If you’re infested with ants give the traps a couple of days to work but if the ants are just starting to appear, one day should do the trick. Leave the baits in place to catch the stragglers.

Cheap. Not sure on effectiveness. Other brand killed fire antnest fast. But then these were put near garden and may have gotten watered.

This product works great. Had some ants get into the pantry and I put these small white plastic pods at end of each shelf. The ants swarmed in and out like crazy and the next day it was a ghost town. Ants be gone! Like that they are white in color and do such a great job. Would not hesitate to buy them again. Another great product from Hotshot, just like their wasp spray that sprays 20' in the air! Show the size of the pod with a quarter next to it for help in knowing how small they are.

These are exactly what we needed! We had an ant problem in one of our outlets. We put these traps near the outlet and the ants were completely gone in a day. No sprays and no mess.

Seems to work. We had tiny Pharaoh Ants in the house and most ant bait wasn’t getting rid of them. This seemed to do the trick, as they were attracted to this bait. I haven’t seen the ants back in my house since I put these out.
