After 14 years of using body wash, I finally decided to switch things up and try this soap after seeing the many positive reviews. And I have to say—I'm impressed!One of the standout features for me is the scent. It has a fresh, invigorating fragrance that lingers just enough without being overpowering. But beyond the scent, what I truly appreciate is that unmistakable "clean" feeling after rinsing. My skin feels refreshed, smooth, and free of any residue, which makes each shower all the more satisfying.It’s also easy to work up a good lather, which is a must for me. Whether I'm using my hands or pairing it with my Sud skin scrubber, it foams up effortlessly, providing a thorough cleanse that feels both gentle and effective.Overall, I’m really pleased with this soap—it’s a simple but refreshing change from body wash, and I can see myself using it regularly going forward.

Great soap. Really nice, natural, but not overpowering scent.I got this as a cheaper alternative to Kiehls and am glad that I did. It’s more affordable, smells better, and the scrub material works much better than Kiehls does in my opinion. I also find it suds up much better.

I LOVE this soap!! In my opinion, this is THE BEST exfoliating soap/ bar soap I have ever used. It’s moisturizing, doesn’t leave a film, and it SCRUBS!! It also has a very nice smell, I am a female and enjoy the fragrance. It’s fresh.

Overall great soap. Exfoliation is best of breed. That’s what’s great about this soap. It’s rough. Helps with ingrown hairs after body shaving/waxing. Too rough for direct use on face. I use face my face wash with a konjac sponge for that. But for the exfoliating power of this one it has a spot in my shower until I find a better exfoliating soap for the price.But I wish it was offered in more (hopefully better) scents. The scent on this bar is perfectly fine... but leaves a lot to be desired. It kinda smells like laundry detergent with a tiny hint of “woodsy” smell. It’s not a bad scent... it’s just nothing special - it smells like a generic “clean” smell.Another potential negative is how big the bar is, and how long it lasts. Pic attached is my bar after about a month’s use. I’d say it’s about halfway done. Other soaps I’ve used either come in a much bigger bar, or just last longer in general. But I think that may be do to the exfoliant in this one. It’s got nice grit in it which probably causes the soap to break away faster. Someone should do a study on this: if soaps exfoliating power increases, duration of soap bar life decreases.You get the picture - if exfoliating is what you’re looking for, get this soap. If you’re after a damn good smelling soap and exfoliation power is a secondary criteria, look elsewhere.- Le Deux

I have searched and tried a lot of men’s soaps. Important for me is moisturizing, long lasting, value, exfoliation and the scent. I personally like to smell my soap on me at least a few hours after the shower. I’ll also add my favorites without exfoliation. It’s January and I didn’t use lotion afterwards. The smell is like a fresh, clean woodsy scent. The exfoliation is incredible and I have sensitive white pasty skin and it felt great. I wouldn’t use it on sensitive areas though but the smell and everything with this soap is perfect. Marlowe is my choice for an exfoliating soap. Good job, Marlowe.Baxter of California (twice as expensive as Marlowe)-Scent- 4.5-Scent lasting time- 1-Exfoliation- 5-Lather-5-Moisturizer- 4.5-Long lasting bar-4.5Baxter of California has a wonderful scent but the scent is gone after you step out of the shower. At $19 a bar they need to do better. I love Newport and Greenbriar. Triple milled and long lasting, but the problem I have is that they don’t moisturize my skin well. My skin feels tight after showering.My favorite non-exfoliation soap is Pre de Provence #63 soap on a rope. A long lasting masculine scent that moisturizes wonderfully. It has great lather and is quad milled for longevity. It also can double as a weapon. 🙂I hope this helps your search.
