Was scared due to the price but this is also why I decided to go with it. Its extremely cheap I half expected it to be DOA or fail within a few months but was worth the attempt given the frankly exaggerated prices we have to pay now for this outdated OEM pump style.So far no issues, car has seen daily driven use for 11months and its running a OTS tune. Will update if anything happens.

The pump was dead on arrival. Save your money and time and just get an oem pump.

When my 2012 BMW X5 started throwing codes that the high pressure fuel pump may be bad, I started researching new ones. Unfortunately the price of the OEM Bosch part has doubled in the past year so I began looking at aftermarket.There's surprisingly little information and reviews about aftermarket replacements for this part but this brand seems to be the best seller of them and it's 1/4 the current price of the OEM.I've read the reviews here and read articles online saying the aftermarket part won't last but the way I look at it is, the OEM part doesn't last either. So I took a chance and figured I'm willing to live with my decision if it doesn't work out and I have to buy the Bosch part later down the road. I can just chalk it up to a lesson learned.Well, so far, so good. My X5 starts quicker than it has in a very long time and drives great.The part itself looks like its probably a remanufactured Bosch. There are areas that appear to have been put back together with JB Weld and the housing looks to have a fresh coat of nickel plating painted on it. The numbers and lettering stamped on it are still legible and identical to the ones on the part I took out, so there's that. One caveat- the new pump comes with a green gasket that didn't look like the same shape as the one I took out. It could be that the old gasket was deformed over time but I don't think so, so I re-used the original gasket instead as it appeared to still be in great shape.Time will tell if this goes as some say and it won't last 1,000 miles but I'll find out, and will update my review if that happens.At the moment, I'm happy with the purchase.[September 3, 2021 Update]The new fuel HPFP now has just over 1,000 miles on it. I've had no problems with the engine starting and no codes thrown since installing this part.At this point, I'm happy with my decision to buy this part over the OEM part (which is ~$720 at this time).Side note: the replacement is fairly straightforward once you get an idea of what you need to do. There are some pretty good youtube videos that walk you through it.However, "straightforward" doesn't necessarily mean easy. There are three 5mm hex bolts that attach the HPFP. One of them is easy to remove and reinstall. The other two, not so much. If I have to do this work again I'd buy a set of 5mm hex wrenches of various lengths. I see a product with ASIN B000EUICPQ on Amazon that should be really helpful.[June 30, 2023 update]Still going strong. I don't recall the mileage when I replaced the HPFP but I'm guessing I've put at least 10,000 miles on this one and have had no issues.

Unfortunately for me the part failed when the technician installed it and took it for a test drive.

Product is great so far and has met or so far exceeded my expectations. Very happy that it has served its purpose and solved my fuel issue. Thanks again!

As a fellow BMW enthusiast trying to save money, I am very angry at the time of writing this, Mine came and on further inspection I found the bearing housing CRACKED and BENT so bad it WOULD have caused massive engine failure if installed. The bearing is ready to fall out of the casing. Im descusted that I wasted time and money to get a CRACKED part just to return it... BUY OEM. BAD product and it's clearly used.

I was very worried that the pump would fail right off the bat but so far each day leaves me more confident that I made a great choice . My 535i is happy and so far so am I.

Installed the item put maybe less than 100 miles on the pump already acting up and not functioning with no return policy or warranty help

I bought this for my 2011 535ix with low expectations. I fitted it, and instantly my car was running how it should again. I currently have about 15000kms on it and it hadn't failed yet.
