Easy to work with.
Easy to cut and install. Worked great in my trunk and behind my back seat. Had to pull the BMW insulation because it stinks like burnt crayons when old. This mad the car quiet again.

Lack in performance sticking to surface
Good product however will not stick to underneath a car or under wheel wells. Stick well to a solid surface. It will reduce noise if you use it on the side door panels.

Good product, good price.
This product is easy to apply. Sticks well and deadened the sound well in my truck door panels. A little thicker would be better and 18 sq ft is about 7 sq. ft short of what most vehicles would need to do all four doors but that is more of a packaging issue. I would definitely use it again.

Catastrophic Failure... so aggravating.
I am an auto upholstery professional, and I often times re-upholster headliners in cars, trucks, and vans. I used this to insulate the roof of a large full size van when the headliner was out of it, by sticking it directly to the metal roof, trimming it, then rolling it on with a press roller. In this photo you can see that I have already installed the new 'rear' portion headliner, with only the front headliner to go. I had one piece of the material left, so I applied it to the roof in the front section while I waited on another box that I had to order. In 24 hours the material fell off the roof, as shown in the picture. It is hanging by a small area still. The problem with that is that I pulled down the back headliner to inspect, only to discover that all of the material I applied to the roof for the rear section has fallen, and is now just weight on the rear headlining board. That weight is not only destructive to the headliner board, but also is not insulating the roof properly now. I have to remove the headliner again, and correct the problem, by using my own glue to adhere each panel again. This is a $500 job, that I now have to go backwards on. The glue used on this product is extremely sticky to the touch. It is almost wet goo. It gets all over your fingers, and tools and can only be removed with mineral spirits, or a similar chemical. When stuck to a hot surface like a metal roof, it will get even gooier and end up dripping like melted chewing gum or something. It's a mess. Companies like this will release a product to the general public without proper R&D (research and development), and we are left to guinea pig the product for them. I hope if nothing else, they take heed and change the adhesive so the next guy doesn't get burned on a $500 or more job. I do not love doing things twice, because of a faulty product. I'm heated like the van roof now. :/

Good product, questionable heat resistance
Had high hopes for this product. Used to insulate the underside of the hood of my diesel truck. Super sticky backing so I thought it would hold. Lasted a few weeks before it started failing. Reflective coating is peeling off in places also. Cleaned the metal with rubbing alcohol before installing too. Have enough to redo the job, may try taping the seams or something next time.
