I did a lot of research before I selected the Trond to be the centerpiece of a little entertainment center that II intended to build and attach to a high intensity reading lamp that sits beside my easy chair. I'm an avid reader, iTunes listener, and iPad user - sometimes all at once. As such the Trond Mini Smart Charging Station fits my needs exactlyThere are 2 - 110 volt outlets (to plug in the charger for my house phone as well as the reading lamp) and sufficient Smart USB's to plug in all of my devices. It looks great and there is only one cord running to the wall to clean around.

So far so good. My first thoughts are it is well built it feels solid and I've charged a laptop, an iPad and a fire plus two iPhones and a Bluetooth speaker all at the same time and everything charged as fast as normal and none of the outlets got hot or seemed to have any trouble. I personally would recommend the Trond 2 power strip to anyone who has a bunch of electronics that need to be charged all at once. Or it would be perfect in your office. This replaced a similar extension that had 2 USB and 2 120vac receptacles. I have it Velcroed to the side of my computer desk in easy reach. Having 5 USB is probably 1 more than I'll ever use simultaneously, but having 2 120vac receptacles wide apart allows AC adapters to be used without blocking the other one; they were too close together in my previous one. Independent On/Off switches is something I haven't seen in any other extension. Surge suppression in a small form factor is a real plus.

Was looking for a power strip with the option of just a few plugs and a bunch of fast charge USB ports to plug in behind our couch and run underneath to the front on the floor for charging phones and things. This is exactly what we needed.

I have several vacation rental properties and I was tired of re-plugging in the bedside lights and clocks. People were disconnecting these devices so they could plug in their devices ( smart phones - ipads - etc). So I put one at each bedside and it works great - folks are pleased with having the units. However one of the 8 that I purchased the power plug section does not work. I need to figure out how to return this and get a replacement. Now just to keep the renter's from taking them!!!

I like that the USB power is separate from the AC plug power. I use the AC power switch to turn on/off my bedside lamp while leaving my devices charging.

Works as advertised. Charges my phones and tablet at the same rate as the chargers that came with those devices. The angled wall plug is a nice feature, easy to hide behind furniture

This has a three pronged plug, and the bottom prong is not centered below the top two. Because it is misshapen it doesn’t fit Into the outlet and I don’t think it’s safe to bend one of the prongs to attempt to get it to fit. Per the seller, they are all like this so I returned it and ordered a different item.1/2/19 Update: After numerous messages back and forth I left the seller a low review. He then contacted me and offered to send a replacement, which is properly shaped and plugs in. I'm updating this to three stars because of the inconsistency in manufacturing.
