Item is not what they were supposed to be
The adapter will not play audio and speak, as stated. It will lighting charge, but not audio. I am returning both items

Perfect for my upgraded phone
I recently upgraded my personal phone to an iPhone 16 but my work phone is an iPhone XR so they have different chargers. This lets me keep using the chargers I have on my new phone and I get to use them with my work phone too.

Work as described
I have some lapel mics that I used with my last iPhone that are lightening cord. Instead of buying new mics, I spent $9 and with these adapters they mics work as usual on my new iPhone with the USB-C.
