Salomon Men's SPEEDCROSS Trail Running Shoes for Men

This is my 5th pair of Salomon Speedcross trail runners. I usually buy a pair a year and wear them practically every day for everything. Note that I do NOT use these for trail or road running as I'm not a runner, so this review is for people who use these as regular sneakers. (That doesn't mean they're not excellent for trail running--I just wouldn't know what to compare them to.) They're incredibly comfortable. The sole is really grippy. It has a fast drawstring lace system that works flawlessly. It also has a laces "garage" at the top of the tongue which sounds like a gimmick but is dead useful. They're very good looking shoes that you can wear pretty much anywhere informal. They're pretty durable; as I said I wear mine almost every day. And I like the gray color which is subtle and goes with everything.PLEASE NOTE: My review is for a pair of shoes that are only labeled "Speedcross." I am assuming they are genuine but the Speedcross series is numbered. For example, the ones I bought replaced a pair of Speedcross 5's. (I didn't buy the most recent Speedcross 6's because the new graphics are hideous.) I'm a little suspicious because these shoes were low-priced and do not have a number. However, they seem to be the real thing (perhaps a version for an overseas market?) and feel just like the ones I replaced. I hope these continue to be available because the newest version 6 is truly ugly and I can only imagine what the 7 series will look like.

My husband loves Solomons shoes! This is his second pair. He wears them everyday and does outdoor endurance competitions each year and wears these. So durable! Great quality!

So comfy! Arch support is spot on!

Love the look and fit but not crazy that the lugs are so vulnerable to wear when it comes in contact with pavement. My typical trail runs encounter harder surfaces so I don’t have time for detours due to excessive wear concerns.

Third or fourth pair of the 4’s I’ve had and love them. They fit my feet perfectly and they’re well designed and made. Just not sure about the white outer soles on these. But then they’ll probably wear out quickly enough, lol.

I own four pair of these over the years and I’ve taken them all over the world. I wear them for casual golfing, hiking and running in at the gym. They’re more than a cross-country running shoe for me love them.

Excellent

Those shoes fitted perfectly on my first run. Nice grip in the mud and on the roots. Good for little and big rocks too but got to be very careful when stepping on a wet rock because now you seem like your running on ice. They are perfectly comfortable, I use them in all type of hardcore trails and my feet don't get sore. I run easily 5 km without a problem and I did some walk in the mountains for over 3 hours and over 10 km and still fresh in them too. Good job Salomon!
