All portable air conditioners have an exhaust hose that is then vented out a window. Well, there is no place for this exhaust hose to go. This means there is no way to cover the portable air conditioner when it is use.Frankly, I wasn't at all sure if this cover would work, but once you try it, it is obviously pretty impractical. Yeah, if you have disconnected your portable air conditioner and want to cover it in the winter, this might be your solution. Otherwise, try something else.Oh, one could try to cut holes in this cover. One hole for the exhaust hose, one hole for the controls, and one hole for the vents in the front of the portable air conditioner. But doing that right would take some real sewing skills, like adding a mesh cover for the vents in front. Way beyond my skill leve.

I deliberately ordered a cover that was a bit larger than my portable AC unit, because I anticipated storing its hose next to the unit. Deciding to align the back of the unit with a wall, I didn't need the extra space - but there would've been more than enough fabric to fully cover the unit and its hose.The cover includes a drawstring to enclose the opening of the cover around the base of the unit, and a pouch for storing the remote control. The fabric of the cover is lightweight enough to be flexible and accommodating for the curves of the AC unit, which also helps to ensure a tight closure around the unit.
