Used on a very old second hand VHS player bought to convert VHS tapes to digital. This head cleaning cassette has excellent cleaning ability, it's very effective. Had to rerun it a few times because the head was so dirty but it cleaned the head perfectly. Amazing job considering I could see the dirt on the old VHS tapes through the little plastic windows. Delighted with this product.

Finally got round to using this as part of a project to convert olf VHS tapes to digital format. Thought i should clean the VHS Recorder heads as they were certainly not displaying a clean picture. So used this VHS head cleaner. On re-inserting the tape, only a 'snow-storm' was displayed i.e. no picture, though audio was still working. Then the VHS tape started to chew up the actual tape. Now this was on a tape that was working on the VHS deck before I used the cleaner. In other words VHS tape working before use of head-cleaner, though not great, used head cleaner, then next use of same tape it got wrecked. The only deduction I can make from this as the head-cleaner has very adversely affected the VHS Recorder heads, rendering them useless. Pretty devastating impact. I clearly wish I never used the product, far less bought it.So now in a worse position than when I started and looking to see how to fix the playback heads on my VHS Recorder.

Found some old VHS vids and still had my old player. Decided to get this to make sure the heads were clean. Does the job and cleaned them up perfectly!

Do not buy this unless you looking to scratch or push dirt back into your vcr headsI used as instructed and it messed up my vcr head i had to resort to using paper and tubbing alcahol to sort it ouy
