Works as expected.
The media could not be loaded. I tested it, but it does not work as smooth as I hoped. A simple test case seems works as expected. Maybe it requires a smooth moving speed. It consumes 26mA when on, should works for 50hours. It consumes less than 1uA current when off, unmeasurable with mA meter, so the battery should last storage life if left in it.

Funciona con algún margen de error
El aparato cumple su función pero las lecturas son algo variables y obligan a repetir varias veces el escaneo. El escaneo se obtiene en dos pasos: primero se debe calibrar (inicializar) y luego hacer la exploración. Justamente es la calibración lo que es algo confusa, ya que si se escanea metal o corriente eléctrica se puede calibrar en el aire o apoyado en la superficie. Pero si se escanea madera la calibración debe hacerse apoyado en la superficie. El manual es bastante explícito en este punto. Lo utilicé para instalar una cámara de vigilancia sobre una pared prefabricada de bastidores de madera. El escaner indicó con precisión el tirante de madera y su centro, pero la lectura se contaminó repetidamente con detección de cable energizado en un sitio donde no hay ningún cable. El manual advierte de algunas probables situaciones de contaminación de la lectura pero no era este caso. En términos generales creo que sirve pero tomando precauciones adicionales. Lo considero como una herramienta de uso hobby, que es mi caso y para eso trabaja en el límite esperado.

Seems to Give false readings
Seems like it’s well made it’ll probably work well in the house, but I specifically bought it to hang a TV on an outdoor stucco patio only successfully found one stud . I’m not a contractor or even a professional do it yourselfer so I’m blaming my understanding of this unit ,but there must be a learning curve.

it works,
its not the fanciest, but it find studs, and it finds anything in your walls,,,,but it will NOT find studs on anything more than a 5/8" thk drywall sheet, i have some old stucco walls, ad it will not see thru it.

Get a name brand
Came with a battery. Battery was defective. Had to purchase a 10 dollar battery to use the product. At this point I could have bought a name brand one and not went through the extra crap I had to do.
