Chinese Mahjong Game Set, Mahjong Tiles Set with 146 Numbered Large Tiles (Yellow), Chinese Mahjong Set with Brown Carrying Case

I spent so much time looking for a set for Chinese Mahj and I'm so glad that this is the one I purchased. I already have two sets for American Mahj but I wanted a set with large tiles exclusively for Chinese play. I'm so glad I didn't get hung up with all the complaints about the size of the tiles. They're described as 1 and 1/2 inches. I measured mine and they are 1 and 5/12th of an inch - that's only 1/12th of an inch smaller than 1 and 1/2 inches and that is perfectly fine with me. I have no problem rounding up 1/12th of an inch. It probably makes it easier for people to picture the size when it's described as 1 and 1/2 rather than 1 and 5/12ths.The lettering, ink and pictures are perfect. I ordered it in blue and every one of the tiles are perfect on both sides - no scratches or smudges. There are Arabic numbers on the characters and letters on the winds so that will be helpful when teaching new players.The case is just fine. I've already taken the set of tiles in the case to friends' homes and it's holding up just fine. I don't hold it by the handle because it is very heavy and I can see where over time the case might not hold up well but I don't see that happening any time soon.The VALUE is remarkable. The price is so reasonable and the tiles are so beautiful.

For the price we are loving this! Case was pretty nice. Game parts were very nice! It’s heavy and I think that’s because it’s real.

Tiles are great. A corner of the case split the first time I held it by the handle. One corner of 3 of the trays in the case have also split. Doesn't seem out of the ordinary for mahjong cases, though. It was the cheapest set with the biggest tiles and my family had fun throughout the holidays playing

Bought this as a fun family night game. This is very heavy to carry and the carring box does seem flimmsy unsure how it will hold up over time. The tiles look just like the image. Overall I am pleased with the purchase.

The tiles are better than I expected. I’m a beginner, so I love that all the tiles come numbered. It makes it so much easier to teach new players.As the reviews stated, the rules booklet is written in poor English and not useful at all, but I’ve been learning online anyway so I didn’t mind.The carrying case is nicer than some of the reviews I read. I actually get compliments on it. Is it super sturdy? No. Will it hold the tiles if you’re careful and take care of your set? Yes.Overall, a great set for new and experienced players. Totally recommend!

I was searching everywhere for tiles that had a yellow back and had Arabic numbers to help me know what tile was what number! These tiles are beautiful and worth every penny :) As others have said, the case is not the best, but for the money I think this was a great purchase :) There size is also perfect for playing.

The overable usability and the tiles are good. The only drawback is the quality of container/bag which is not that strong and two of the boxes that hold the tile in the bag were already ripped. However, I'm keeping it since it's a hassle to return and I'm only going to use it during occasion anyway.

I believe these are the standard size tiles and they feel great. Very satisfying to shuffle around, they have good heft to them and are consistent. Very glad to have the english numbers on them as well - it greatly helps people who are new to the game. The carry case works well, wish the material was a little thicker as I am nervous it will give out sometime.
