Italian 300ml Six Cup Espresso Coffee Maker
I have used a coffee machine for the past two years, but realised I wanted a mug of coffee, not lots of tiny cupful’s.With this in mind I decided to try the Italian Six Cup Espresso Coffee MakerAs stated in the name, when filled to just below the vent point on the side it takes 300ml of water / 11 fluid ozs.I can now have a mug-full of fresh ground coffee.Having previously burnt out a percolator with an 'all metal' lid, I looked for one with a ‘window’ to enable me to determine when the percolating has finished. There are some minor points that might be better on a more expensive percolator:The screw that retains the ‘window’ started to show signs of light rusting so I removed it, cleaned it and painted it with some high temperature gloss black paint that I have. The filter cover, that rests on the coffee holder could be a better fit, it can move laterally enough to allow coffee grains past itIt is easy to centralise though, before screwing the top half of the unit to the bottom. When you need to discard the spent coffee, the lip/edge of the coffee holder is not the easiest thing to get to as it sits a little low in the bottom half of the percolator.I use a thin bladed kitchen knife to get under the lip before I can lift it out.Overall I am very pleased with the percolator and use it often. For the price I think this is a good buy.(My De L. coffee machine is now redundant)

Doesn't pour cleanly
It works perfectly well, but the spout is not designed properly; it all leaks when you pour the coffee.

Disappointed in quality
Great looking pot and I like the glass lid to see the coffee is ready. However, I have used this 6 times and the part to open the top has broken and isn't repairable. Very disappointed in the lack of quality with this product. I have asked for a replacement and hope that the original was a one-off fault.

Well designed carefully made pot produces great coffee.
Really like this item which I've used for several months now - and feeling guilty at putting off a review on an excellent item. Arrived safely and very clean, it also has the handy see-through panel in the lidThe pot is of a well-made construction - quite refined in appearance, fit, finish, and the 'calibration' of the minimal amount of water at the end of the brew. The pot will reward being looking after with long life. .I really like what it produces (have mine in a mug with frothed f/c milk); also love the ritual !I suspect that I have recently twigged that the coffee seems as strong with a slightly lesser amount of coffee than a nearly full fill...perhaps the boiling water/steam has more room to have its effect on the ground beans !

As previous reviewer noted perhaps they changed the quality as this was a waste of 11 pounds
Bought On June 23rd. Died on July 25th just outside the return window. Cheap quality. It worked ok as it should for 30days, enought for 2 ppl to have a strong coffee. But handle broke off a few days ago. It is now unusable unless you want to scold your hands. As previous reviewer noted perhaps they changed the quality as this was a waste of 11 pounds. You get what you ay for I guess. Looking for a more quality product replacement if anyoen has suggestions.

Just right for me
Really pleased with this on first and second use. Just enough for 1 good mug or 2 small ones and quick too. Really I am a tea drinker but enjoy a cup of real coffee from time to time. For the price its perfect.

much easier to use - no guesswork.
This is a great espresso maker. I've had several before and there's always a problem of figuring out when the perking has started to turn down the heat and when it's finished to turn off the burner and not burn the pot. With this pot, you can easily see inside what's going on and get it perfect each time. We now know which burner to use and exactly how long it takes, so we can set a timer and turn it down. it makes it so much easier. It also makes nice strong espresso - very hot, which is just what you want.

Okay for price.
This product is ok but leaks badly when pouring even with replacement washers. Basic design fault.
