Nine-time GRAMMY Award-winner Sheryl Crow’s forthcoming album of collaborations, THREADS, has been announced as an August 30 2019 release on The Valory Music Co. Unveiling the cover art and full tracklist across social platforms, she premiered “Still The Good Old Days” featuring Joe Walsh (watch by clicking HERE) and performed the song on The Graham Norton Show during a run of dates in Europe. Crow shared, “’Still The Good Old Days’ totally captures what Joe and I believe about getting older…that life is still fun no matter what stage of life you are at, and that living isn’t just for the young.”Other advance tracks already setting the pace for this diverse collection include “Redemption Day” featuring Johnny Cash, “Live Wire” featuring Bonnie Raitt and Mavis Staples and “Prove You Wrong” featuring Stevie Nicks and Maren Morris.Further elaborating on the project, Crow reflected, “I became inspired to record an album of musical experiences with the legacy artists who inspired me to want to be a great songwriter, musician, and producer. It is a celebration with them, and a tribute to them. Just as importantly, I wanted to work with younger artists on this record, who I believe will pick up the torch and continue to light the way for humanity with their stories and their songs for many years to come. Their music inspires me every day.”

Great singing and production and great songs. All guests complement rather than intrude
My favourite Sheryl Crow albums are #2 "Sheryl Crow" and #3 "The Globe Sessions". This one is long and value for money, but has great songs and great production. Guests add to the tracks in sympathetic ways. Particular highlights are "Redemption Day" with Johnny Cash, George Harrison's "Beware of Darkness" with among others, Eric Clapton and "The Worst" featuring Keith Richards on guitar and a LOVELY harmony. This ISN'T a guest filled yawnfest. It is very much Sheryl's album with some tasteful help. Pretty much every song is great and the production is fabulous. Just buy it!

A Really Good Listen
If you like good songs, well sung against a background of great musicianship, then this album is for you. Sheryl Crow has always been a "safe pair of hands" in terms of her albums, and has produced several of my all time favourite tracks. Most of the collaborations on this album work perfectly, and it never ceases to amaze me how Willie Nelson is still able to conjure his magic at the ripe old age of 86. Should this really turn out to be Sheryl's last recording then she will have gone out on a high, and I for one am truly grateful to her for her contribution to the soundtrack of my life. Buy it.

Vanity Project
Over long and self indulgent. A very poor epitaph for one of the best female singers of her time. I have all her albums, and if indeed this is her swan song I'll be very sad. Such a shame to leave us with this mournful dirge. My children will never understand my enthusiasm for this artist if this had been her only offering.PS. I've now waisted a whole afternoon listening to this album, 3 times, (yes it's over 1hr.15min. long!), and it doesn't improve with rehearing. I'll give it 1 star for old times sake!

Disappointing
Apart from Still the good old days with Joe Walsh, I was really disappointed with this album.I love Sheryl Crow and her last solo effort was excellent. This one I can only describe as rather boring.
