After switching to a plant-based diet, I really missed eating jerky, especially those little gas station combination packs with the super-processed beef and cheese sticks. I tried some other brands of vegan jerky but didn't care for their taste or consistency. This vegan jerky is truly awesome. It tastes great and gives me the jerky experience without the guilt and sadness associated with eating animal products. So if you're someone who loves jerky but wants a cruelty-free option, give this a try!

These are good, but I'm really disappointed in the price. You really are better off ordering them from the manufacturer than a third party seller. I gave the product five stars because that's what I am reviewing, NOT the seller. I will review the seller separately, but I thought it would not be fair to reduce the number of stars I gave the jerky because of my dissatisfaction with the seller.With that said, there are plenty of "vegan jerkies" on the market, but these might come as close to the real thing as I've had yet. I do still like the Primal, and those have been my favorite. There's something about these that keep me satisfied. I let my cousin and nephew, both big meat eaters, try these and they wanted more! I ate the entire pack in a day :( That's how good they are. They are ten times better than the LightLife ones. The flavor is intense, not too salty, has the perfect combination of spices, and doesn't leave a nasty aftertaste. They are tender but still have that jerky feel to them. The content of the pouch resembled what you would find in a meat-based version. There were some big piece, small pieces, and crumbs at the end.I will definitely buy these again, and I want to try some of the other flavors, but I will be purchasing them directly from the Louisville Vegan Jerky site. They have a sample pack and many more flavors than I've found here on Amazon. They may have become my absolute favorite.

I'm a meat eater. I grew up eating chicken, ham and beef my whole life. Recently, I ended up adopting a vegetarian diet because I started having severe heartburn from eating meat.That being said, I knew I needed to find alternatives because I didn't want to eat salads 24/7, nor did I want terrible bouts of heartburn. I never realized so many meat alternatives existed, especially on Whole Foods. I got curious and looked up vegan jerky and stumbled upon this brand. I didn't think it would be any good, but I gave it a try anyways.Needless to say, once I tried Louisville Jerky I was impressed! It actually tastes like bacon and maple! I couldn't believe it... I wondered if I was going through meat withdrawals and I just imagined that something finally tasted good. So I knew I wanted to get some second opinions...I had asked some of my (meat loving) relatives to give it a try, not telling them what it was. They too were impressed, and asked me if I had any more bags. That's when I told them it was a vegan fake meat jerky. They couldn't believe it either, and still agreed it tasted great.So, there you have it. This brand tastes amazing, and I don't get heartburn from it. Highly recommend buying, if you feel you need to remove meat from your diet. You won't regret it! This is an excellent replacement!

Not quite as much jerky as I was expecting to get in the bag, especially for the price. It does taste pretty good, and the texture is spot on. I don't think the product is worth the price though, especially with shipping. But if you come across it in the store for a more reasonable price, it's pretty good!

It’s very tasty - I use this jerky in salads and with eggs. It’s a great addition to brunch items.

Like most vegan snacks, this one isn’t good at all. It tastes too much like black pepper. Yes, I am vegan, but even I know most vegan snacks aren’t good.
