Amazing, transformed my swimming experience
I've had it for four weeks, swam around 30 km and biked a few too. It been a huge motivation boost as it makes both activities such a pleasure. It leaves the ear canal open so you can maintain some situational awareness, which is good for cycling. Great sound quality, although a small number of songs aren't perfect under water - very bass heavy music may become more so under water (too much for me) and you might miss some higher frequency melodies in classical for example, but I'd say 95%+ of pop, rock and dance are great. Strokes where your head is in and out of the water, like breast-stroke, also effect the consistency of transmission which is fine for most music but might make spoken word difficult to follow (I haven't tried spoken word). There's a remarkable amount of control with so few buttons, with the ability to switch between folders easily, so I have one with about 1000 tunes to shuffle, and one with my latest albums. Its rock solid on my head - you really can just forget its there and enjoy. It seems really well made with no loose, flexible bits that would break easily and the two year warranty provides additional reassurance. Battery life is as advertised - I estimate around 8 hours. Overall - its amazing and my best buy for ages. I really look forward to swimming now and I'll be down the pool tonight.

Easy to use MP3 bone conduction headphones with great sound quality
I was looking for a new set of MP3 bone conduction headphones for running and decided to look at Shokz, as a friend of mine has a set of bluetooth ones. The only ones I could find were these and although the product name says they are for swimming, the description says they can be used for running. They were a little more than I was looking to pay, but from the short time I have had them, they are well worth the money. Very easy to use, very comfortable and great sound quality. The headphones also look great, come with a handy storage pouch and the USB charging station is easy to use and has a light to indicate when the headphones are fully charged. Battery life is very good and you get an audible message when you turn them on saying what level the battery is at. The majority of bone conduction headphones are bluetooth, but I prefer MP3 to avoid any connection issues and the process of loading music on to them is very easy. I can't comment as to what they would be like for swimming, but they are ideal for running and I would definitely recommend them to any runners who are looking for an easy to use and comfortable set of headphones with great sound quality.

Game changer
I’ve just had a baby and took up swimming as a way to lose the baby weight but I was finding that I was getting bored swimming up and down with just my own thoughts so I’d inevitably get out after a short while. After a little research I settled for these and have absolutely no regrets. You have to download your audio to a computer/laptop and then transfer it on to the earphones but its really easy to do so not an issue, literally plug them in, drag and drop, you don’t have to mess with stupid add on software.Music plays clearly and it’s generally louder once your head is under water. I’ve played a few BBC pod casts through them too which I can hear well although some men’s deep voices can be difficult sometimes.Nice fit around the head and have never displaced or fallen off when doing any stroke, they are also comfortable. You will struggle to wear these with swimming caps though.Buttons for skipping tracks, volume and pause are easy to find with just your fingers so you don’t have to remove them to look.I’ve found that with these I stay in the water for much longer and complete so many more laps because I’m concentrating on the audio. A great buy and would thoroughly recommend :-)

Xmas present for the wife - she loved it
Wife very pleased with this piece of tech as she has started going swimming a few times a week before work. Sound quality is great for what it is and you are still aware of your surroundings.Small amount of faff adding songs due to it essentially being an mp3 player (by design for underwater use), but nothing too taxing. Just need to connect to a pc and drag and drop - like stepping back in time. :)Battery life really good too.

Endurance swimming game changer!
OK, I swim a lot. Daily, in fact. I do laps and swim long distances in my local 25m pool. However, swimming and excercise gets boring because I've got nothing to engage my mind. The Shokz have stepped in and solved this problem. They're brilliant in the water and work well as a source for audio books while I swim. My process is to wear the Shokz with ear plugs and it makes the audiobook nice and clear to listen to. The Shokz sit over my ears perfectly and are tight against my head, making good contact.Absolutely love them! The battery life is plenty for what I need and I make sure to upload audiobooks in a single file so there's not worries with the tracks being out of order (there's no controls apart from on/off, volume up/down) which is fine. Once I turn it on, the audiobook starts from where I left off and away I go! Great investment for a swimmer or athlete who wants to keep themselves entertained during long exercise sessions.
