The noise floor on this mic is not good, by 12 o'clock on the gain there is already noticeable hissing - you can set gates and filters in the software to try and mitigate the issue, but at that point it just feels like patching over a bad pre amp and the gain is super noticeable everytime the gate lifts. I may have a faulty model as when using the main channel I only seem to be getting left audio, which may be excaserbating the above issue.The noise rejection is also pretty terrible, again relying on gates to try and counter this doesn't work because you end up hearing everything once your voice opens that gateThe sad thing is the vocal quality is actually pretty decent, but the issues ruin the potential. I was hoping to replace my XLR setup with a simple decent usb mic, but this has not been a good first step

I’m blown away by both the look and sound of this microphone! It’s stunning, with a very full and rich tone! So much customisation with the Universal Control app. I’m quite confused by the previous review left here on Amazon saying this mic is noisy. I can confirm it definitely is not so they must have received a faulty unit or cable. The only thing I would say is on the Broadcast presets on Universal Control, the gate is set too high, and it makes vocals sound choppy if you set it to Medium or High, so I always have it on low, which sounds perfect. Totally in love with the mic, worth every penny!

This is supposed to be a Dynamic Microphone with the Unique Presonus FAT channel aDSP plugins for zero latency, and realtime processing.I may be a little biased as I am no longer a Newbie but the io24, which is a condenser version is way more quieter than the newer, big brother Dynamic revelator.The preamps built with this USB mic are super, super noisey. I did a side by side comparison in the same acoustically treated room and the 'hotter' condenser version (Revelator mic) is far more quieter.This is the first time I have been disappointed by a presonus product. Not sure if I received a dodgy unit, but not happy with this.When I activate the Noise Gate, the preamps are so noisy, that the noise gate just makes the processed sound, come across really poor.I'm a huge fan of Presonus but the Revelator Dynamic Mic is a disappointment in my opinion.

Like the rest of the revelator series this offers fantastic built in DSP and all the audio routing you could need for streaming and podcasting.But this mic like many other reviews is let down with incredibly bad self noise. If you like the sound of this mic your better off spending an extra £50-70 on the the io24 and pd70.The pd70 is the same capsule much better built and by pairing it with io24 you get an extra xlr input, and the ability to upgrade you mic at a later date. This mic could of truly been a game changer for content creators but presonus continues to taint the revelator series with extremely bad QA

The build quality and form factor are top notch and the mic does sound very good, but when in use there was a noticeable crackle when i was speaking, i tested a tonne of settings in the pre sonus universal controller but in the end it seemed like a hardware issue, i tried a usb c to usb c cable (provided is c to a) and that lower the crackle but it was still present. Very disappointing as reviews seemed good online, hopefully there is a v2 of this mic because it was very good otherwise

As I am a total newbie to recording my biggest problem was setting it up and getting my distance right from the mic to record, but once I’d done that it worked very well

I have several XLR mics and audio interfaces for my podcast and YouTube channel, and I am have used many USB condenser mics over the years as well. I wanted to test out a USB Dynamic mic, but didn't want to buy the cheap-o brand, and didn't want to buy the very expensive brand either. This Presonus fit perfectly in the middle, so it was worth a gamble.I also have both Revelator audio interfaces, so I was familiar with the software behind these devices. But I was curious to see how it integrated with the Dynamic mic. I'm happy to say that you can basically fine tune this mic much like you would with any other PreSonus interface or pre-amp. The only difference is, you can simple just plug this right into your computer without needing another device on your desk. It's semi plug and play if you want. But then you can go into the software and setup your four presets, which are accessible from the microphone itself. You can also adjust the gain right from the mic. Very handy!I'm very happy with the mic, and it will be put to the test for my next few podcast episodes!

Dass ein USB Mikrofon so nah an den SM7B herankommt, hätte ich nicht gedacht. Für Nutzung direkt am PC absolut zu empfehlen! Bin begeistert!

La prima volta che il microfono è arrivato era già stato usato (anche se era stato venduto come nuovo). Avevo registrato per un paio di giorni e ho notato che i pulsanti "Preset" e "Monitor" lampeggiavano quando toccavo il microfono. Alla fine ho chiesto la sostituzione con uno nuovo, mi è stato consegnato il giorno dopo al mattino e ora funziona perfettamente, la confezione è nuova e si vede che non è stata aperta. Per la registrazione vocale è perfetto!Gli do 4 stelle, solo per l'inconveniente della sostituzione. Ma nel complesso è stato veloce, meno di 24 ore.Allego una foto della scatola del primo e del secondo microfono. La seconda foto mostra il nuovo microfono che è arrivato come sostituzione

Dieses Mic ist bisher das USB Mic was ich hatte, es kann direkt mit Shure SM7B konkurrieren. Die Qualität ist hervorragend und man hat durch die Software verschiedenste Einstellungen um den Ton abzumischen.Einziges Manko, ich hätte mir gern einen weiteren Klinkenanschluss am Mikrofon gewünscht, dass man nicht unbedingt auf das USB angewiesen ist. Und die Software ist mit einigen anderen Audio Softwares (z.B. Steelseries) nicht kompatibel, das äußert sich in der Software, das Mikrofon wird in Software nicht mehr erkannt und man keine Einstellungen mehr verwenden. Das Mikrofon kann dann immernoch verwendet werden, nur hat es keine Abmischung mehr.Für fast 200€ trotzdem alle mal sein Geld wert, bis auf die Software. Da muss Presonus noch nacharbeiten.
