It says it's for rain, but i bought these for a snow trip that we took this past winter. Personally i didn't want to spend so much on snow gears especially only be worn one time thing. So i decided on these waterproof pants. They are light and not warm, but i had the kid wear a base layer underneath and it was fine. it protected her from getting wet when playing in the snow.because they're light, it was easy to pack - just stuff it in a duffle bag. They also dry very fast and easily. I can easily reuse these pants on rainy days. I totally recommend doing this method if you want a cheaper alternative snow apparel for kids especially if you don't plan on going to the snow often in one winter.The fit for these pants fit just right! my child wears 7 yr old clothes and i bought the 7-8 year old size waterproof pants.

We got these for my 8 year old to play in the snow. They are great! They are not warm but easy to layer and most importantly, dry. I would recommend these pants.

My child attends outdoor school and these have held up well for lots of outdoor muddy play. We have a second pair from a more expensive brand and these are just as good.

If your child likes to splash in puddles, these pants are not for you. The rubber coating actually absorbs moisture and that wicks into the inner woven fabric. This results in wetness on the inside of the pant. If you just need them for a light rain shower then they would be fine but for outdoor school they are not a good choice.

I really like the drawstring at the waist and the stirrups at the bottom.

These rain pants are really great! They do hold the rain out, are durable and have the elastic that can go under the boots. Would buy again.

Fit my 8 old son well,.with some room to grow. Super easy to pull over sweat pants, keeps clothes dry in the snow or on a cold boat ride.
