Repair seat in a wicker chair.

I'm remodeling my house and built 2 new doors for my laundry and bathroom. I absolutely love cane webbing and the way these turned out.

I was skeptical about keeping because the hole size and spacing is a little larger than expected .Therefor , the cane-webbing will only be for certain type of projects .Definitely not something you want to purchase for seating or chairs . The whole is too big and I imagine any weight or support will make it rip or tear.

My first cane project on a piece that has been my family for over a hundred years.

Unfortunately, I did not open the package until I was ready to use after stripping and finishing my project..Had I done so, I would have returned this item. Many of the fibers in the webbing were frayed or broken which compromises the durability of the webbing. I do not want to invest the time and effort to use this webbing only to have it break upon use. Also, the width of the fibers and color are inconsistent. I regret I missed the window to return it.

Re caned a porch settee.

The webbing seems good enough, but the quality of the weave is very disappointing. There are tons of split and loose ends where one strip ends and another begins. They are not well seamed together creating a lot of pokey bits that will probably not be nice to sit on. I may have to return this before I go to the trouble of glueing this down on the stool.
