So, when I first bought this about 6 or 7 months ago, I didn't expect much. Since then I bought beautiful Damascus steel knives and a 1000/6000 grit wet stone. Which destroyed my edges. Literally looked like I hit the edge of a brick multiple times. So today I grabbed this out of my drawer and used all 3 sharpeners in order from coarse to fine. WOW!! Fixed the edge beautifully!!! Great product.

This sharpener is solid and gets dull knives razor sharp with very little effort. Now my cheap throw away knives cut almost as well as my expensive chef knives.The handle and shape of the base really let you get a firm grip to keep it steady while sharpening. It's also very comfortable to hold. I'm very satisfied with this.

I wish it had ability to hang out of way or fasten to wall. I dont like cluttered counters and it's too small to avoid getting lost up in cabinets so a way to easily store would be a great add on.

Give a couple slice one direction only on each slot from rough to fine. Sharp enough to cut steak smoothly. If you use your knife for chopping, you might need to sharpen it every use. But gently use, it will be good for weeks. If you expect sharp like the Ninja knife in the movie. I don’t believe this is for you.
