I absolutely ADORE this product! Vetiver essential oil is one of my favorite therapeutic oils, so I LOVE that this is made from Vetiver roots. The exfoliating is superb, better than any loofah I've ever used. It definitely leaves me feeling extra clean and it has a nice scent. The mesh doesn't bother me at all, as it appears to others, it helps hold the product together and enhances the exfoliating. and I am not sure what the mesh is made of, it may be plastic but the what I read the product is biodegrable. I like the size as it is just right for my hand. I would suggest a 'loop' to wrap around the wrist but I have had no problem holding and using it in both shower and bath. I'd love if it could be made into a 'glove' style, however, the minor enhancements I suggest will definitely NOT prevent me from purchasing this again - it is wonderful!

Product was full of dirt which turned to mud after soaking. There was no natural smell even after soaking. If I was able to I would return the product. Definitely better options available.

I bought one for myself and 2 of these as stocking stuffers for teenagers. This product is odd in the way that you don't take off the plastic mesh to use it or it will all fall apart. It's like a kind of grass that is spiraled and held together with the mesh. The mesh is rougher than a body puff, and lots of pieces come off of it even after a month of use. Not recommended for the bath unless you enjoy a bunch of stuff floating around in your bath. It works as well as any other random rough exfoliator. Not seeing any difference according to other product claims. It has a nicely light pleasant smell of vetiver, which to me is a wood smoke kind of scent. 3 stars for scent and exfoliation. Otherwise I would have given it 2.

I have owned two of these vetiver scrubbers in the past, one I got in India for 50rp and one I got at a festival in Germany for 5€. Both of them were really quality and gave just the right amount of exfoliation. This one I order from amazon it does smell quite good, but it is extremely scratchy. On all sides pieces of the root are poking out and are so rough even with the slightest pressure I get massive abrasions and it is painful. The only area I can stand it are on my shoulders where I get some blemishes, my buttocks and the soles of my feet. Otherwise this product is DAMAGING to the skin. The only saving grace is that it does function well for lathering the liquid soap I use. I am disappointed this is the only product of its type available on amazon as I’ve said I’ve had good experience with this type of product in the past. Don’t buy this unless your skin is as tough as nails!! Seriously you’ll regret it.

I knew this would be scratchy but I thought it would soften or break down a bit. No, it doesn’t. Still just as scratchy but maintains 5 star because... it is what it is.I like that it vetiver which has a slight woody scent and had great benefits. Recommend.

I was kind of surprised when I got mine, it is kind of wrapped in a plastic mesh. In the description they mention how this product is better than using a plastic scrubber; yet it has a plastic scrubber encapsulating it. That being said, it isn't wrapped very securely and the plastic is already coming off after 3 uses. It can be rather abrasive as well; I have a couple scratches from using it as it was. Now I am trying to use it wrapped in my silk/charcoal/bamboo body scrubbing cloth but it is a bit clumsy. I think I will try to sew it to have a pocket to keep it in place and maybe sew the ends together to use it like a handle so I can do my back. You have to be careful with the twiggyness of it; it seems the scratches are inevitable. But it does work well. My skin is noticeably softer and more even toned after just a few uses. I just wish it was more user friendly. A bit of debri seems to be normal after each use. The smell is intoxicating but not overbearing. Very natural - except for the plactic mesh part.

I would not recommend this product. It is quite smal, about the size of the palm of your hand. It is basically small twigs wound in a disc covered by one, thin, layer of plastic mesh. It is scratchy, in that, twigs are scratchy. I did like the fragrance of the twigs.

Amazing beautiful natural smell for this root. I love it. it arrived in perfect conditions. the net is really high quality and resistant. it will blow your mind. it arrived faster that what the website showed which was greatly appreciated.
