Yes it will work for any size card all the way down to 2.5 x 2.5

Q: Will this punch through cardstock weight paper? I just bought a new Rolodex and the blank cards are thinner than notebook paper and ink just bleeds.

Yes, it will punch through most light card. stock, watercolor paper, and multimedia paper. It will not punch heavy card stock or chip board.
