Split clips (going around the strap) are not very strong.

Three of my original clips broke the first month I had my new spa cover. Took about 15 minutes to cut off the old clips from the cover, unscrew the old clip receivers from the hot tub, and screw in the new receivers using the same holes. The clips slide onto the sewn part of the cover in a few seconds. All said a great and inexpensive solution for keeping my spa cover in place.

The original spa cover latches broke too easy, too many times. Bought these latches, not expensive, and they were a direct replacement for my old latches. They used the same screw hole locations and I used the old screws to make it even easier. See the picture that has the old latches that broke too easy on the left side of the picture at $4.50 each, right side are the replacement latches at $1.25 each. Very happy with the replacement latches.

big wind blew off my hot tub cover and broke 3 of the 4 buckles. Thought I might have to buy a new cover until I found these. These worked perfect and I was able to use existing screw holes. Bit of a challenge removing the old buckles and then threading these in but no issues, I recommend

These worked great to replace broken clips. I would prefer longer screws for a more secure attachment, but the 3 short screws seem to work fine. I only used the clip/receiver and did not use the buckle, as it would not fit for the width of my straps. My original buckles were fine, so that didn't matter. Now I have lots of extras in case my remaining originals break.
