I am NOT receiving any kind of compensation for this review!**Ever since Hills had a recall, due to their food killing peoples dogs, I decided to take my cats off their urinary blend of cat food and after many weeks of research, I decided the best brand for my cats, would be Farmina.I have two cats aged 14 & 15. Like most people my cats are my everything and I want to feed them high quality foods. I thought I was doing that with the prescription food my vet recommended - and after switching to a new vet that doesn’t hawk that line of food - I wished I had made the switch sooner.I started off by buying the Urinary blend, as I was very scared to switch my boy, whom has had crystal issues in the past, to something new. But it has been over a year since switching foods and this cat acts like a kitten!! No urinary issues and I’m so grateful for that.Lately I have been experimenting with different flavors of this food, and picked the boar blend up off Amazon as it was the cheapest, and oh my god…. They haven’t touched the urinary blend that sits in the bowl next to the dish of boar in over a week lol, I just purchased another bag of it because it’s going fast.This food also does not smell bad when you open it. Smells like fresh, good food. Not preserved and bland.I would like to get one bag of every flavor so my babes can have some variety! You wouldn’t wanna eat the same thing day in and day out!!The only problem with this food, is sometimes it’s hard to find as it gets stuck in customs for long periods of time. But, if ya buy the big bags or multiple bags you’ll be fine.I’m addition to feeding my cats this awesome, healthy food, I’ve also incorporated wet food, which they love even more…. And scream at me starting at 5am for it!!!Seriously cat owners - BUY THIS BRAND OF FOOD!!!! Italy has high standards for their pet food. As well as Thailand!

I started off with ND Farmina Herring and Quinoa and then branched out to other foods. The foods of this brand seem to have good ingredients, and the cats prefer them to other foods. I get both the dry boar and the canned.

After researching kibble, how it is cooked, (high temps X 4, which kills any nutrition that was present}, fillers, and how students going to school to become veternarians are taught by Mars Co., yes the candy company who also makes kibble found on grocery store shelves. I started looking elsewhere. I use N & D Urinary for my senior male cat instead of the crappy RX food my vet prescribed. I trust N & D so much I ordered Boar & Apple for my other cat. They both like their new kibble and I feel better that I am giving my pets a healthy choice which in turn should give them many long healthy years with me. Look at the ingredients while grocery shopping. Usually two of the first three ingredients are corn. Now compare to N & D. You'll be surprised as I was.

This is the first review that u have ever done. My cat loved this and it has been a contributing factor in controlling her IBD.For months my cat has suffered with IBD. After spending close to $500 at the vet for a full blood panel and new and expensive food that was not meeting her needs. First we tried science diet I/d. The w/d since she was on the verge of diabetic but has been controlled with food. And then science diet z/d. None of those expensive prescription foods helped her and it was money down the drain. I did not want her to have those foods with grans and fillers but was willing to try anything to get rid of the pungent diarrhea and vomiting. So after moths of trying vet recommended foods they prescribed prednisone and probiotics to help her. Since she was showing signs of becoming a diabetic kitty again I decided to try another wet food that was over 10% or over crude max protein (she is extremely picky and we ended up using hound and Gatos rabbit since she likes it ) and this dry food. Immediately she improved. I haven't even given her the prednisone. And only one pill of probiotics ( she is so picky I can't add anything to her food or she will refuse to eat).Hope that this review makes sense I am typing quickly with a toddler batting at the phone. I just wanted to post a review to help others because I have spent so much time researching foods and wasting money on foods and supplements that my cat turns her nose up to. Hope this helps others that are at their wits end trying to find a food that will help with their cats sensitive stomach that is paletable. I am pretty sure that my spoiled cat is as picky as they get and she loves this. It is made in Italy so I believe that it is made with better ingredients.

All my cats like this particular variety as their paws down favorite. This brand is almost all protein and is very filling for my cats. It’s a little expensive but worth every penny and I can only buy it on Amazon

I adopted an eight year old FiV kitty from a shelter (Purrfect Pals, Arlington, WA) in April... He's such a great kitty - a lap kitty with an affectionate and sharp-witted personality.... the day I adopted him I learned he had many other health issues as well - pancreatitis, lung issues, gum/teeth issues along with the feline immunosuppressive disease. I was pretty devastated but still wanted him and vowed to nurture him back to full health. I bought him this flavor and the blueberries et al flavor. He loves them both and so I use them as a treat/snack as I hand feed them to him. He just LOVES both of these "flavors"/Versions. Cats are carnivore obligates so must have a high-protein diet but it really helps their immune system and overall health to switch up their diets to 'exotic' and wild sources.

I was trying to buy boar N&D for my dogs & accidentally got this cat food.My cat loves the taste of this!I love N&D. It is such high quality and have minerals many other pet foods lack.I would buy this again.I just give a little here and there to supplement the raw diet my guy is on, and more like a treat than anything.
