Art monitor for art purposes (complimentary)
This is a beautiful display in a fairly uncommon aspect ratio. I've liked it immensely and have had no issues with it. If you want a color accurate display that can hold a little more in its margins, it's a good option. As it is a monitor, do not use it for sound output. The on-board speaker is weak (as you might expect). I'm not even sure why it has speakers to begin with. The screen is fairly adjustable, though, if that's something you'd like to know. It's very sturdy. It's good for making art (especially visual art). Amazon has suggested that I discuss its gaming potential. It is not a gaming monitor. It will, of course, show you anything you choose to display, but you could probably do better if gaming is your interest. Still, despite Amazon's strange suggestion, I feel comfortable recommending this easily. It's a great monitor!

Great Monitor For my artwork and photography!
The media could not be loaded. Absolutely a great monitor for the creative types of art, illustration and design! Though i purchased this for use with an Ipad pro 13, i cannot get full screen ( side bars), so far i have not found a solution for this issue. With that said, i am very satisfied with the picture quality and really appreciate the factory color calibration. For creating art and spending $$ on large prints, it is essential that “what I see, is What i get”! With 100% of both sRGB and Rec.709 plus Asus exclusive features like ProArt Palette with six-axis color, black-level and brightness adjustments, PA248QV makes it easy to achieve the exact look you desire quickly, easily and precise. Though on the lower end of the ProArt monitor offerings , the vivid colors and clarity are outstanding for the price point of this monitor .I am very impressed and satisfied for what I use it for!If you’re just getting started in digital art and or photography, ( even if you’re a “seasoned “ artist) you simply can’t go wrong selecting this monitor!

Fantastic for Video Editing and Media Consumption
It has everything I would ever want in a monitor, glad I held off and waited till I was able to get this over other monitors. The 16:10 Aspect Ratio looks great on After Effects and Gaming as coincidentally it shares the same aspect ratio as the Steam Deck. These are the best colors I've seen on a display since probably my M1 Macbook Air but it's probably better seeing how neutral it is and the anti reflective screen is really nice to see whatever is being displayed. It has 5ms latency from what I've researched and it performs perfectly for 60fps-75fps gaming which is all I need. You do have the abliity to switch inputs between Displayport, HDMI, and VGA which is great if you have a capture card and only want to use one Display for multiple devices. The stand is also pretty nice and offers a lot breathing room for your desk. It also has speakers which I wasn't expecting and its serviceable at best but its there when I need it which is perfectly fine.Only gripe is that any area that's dark and has high contrast white in the image it'll bloom a decent amount in a dark room so that's pretty annoying but usually I can turn on the lights in my room anyways which is probably better for my eyes too.Overall I would recommend this to every aspiring content creator if they're looking for an extremely high quality Display on a budget, if I had more disposable money I would absolutely have gotten a 2nd one to go with this one.

Color accuracy that doesn’t break the bank
Great looking monitor that has great color accuracy. Not the highest resolution, and I wouldn’t use it for gaming. But for any type of photo/video editing/design work it’s great.

Fits My Needs
This is an oddly under-reviewed monitor, but perhaps it's just too early in its lifecycle to have been picked up by RTINGS yet. However, I was willing to make the jump because I've been in the market for a pair of monitors that offer both good color representation and a high refresh rate. I've used exclusively Dell monitors for my entire life, but with the recently-released U2724D from Dell being even less-reviewed than this Asus model (and about 30% more expensive), I went for the ASUS PA278CGV.I tested this monitor with a Dell Latitude laptop (via HDMI), a 2018 Mac Mini (usb-c to displayport), and an M2 Max Macbook Pro (also usb-c to displayport). Out of the box, the picture to my very untrained eye looked perfect and required no fiddling except to adjust the resolution and refresh rate in both MacOS and Windows because they both defaulted to 1080p60hz (probably attempting to match my last monitors' specifications). My second day with it, I realized on the MacOS side that the monitor was displaying impressively terrible local dimming, such that during a software update, the Apple logo on a black background lit up the middle third of the monitor. Dragging a file across a black desktop also showed 1/3 of the monitor illuminating at a time as the file moved. I turned off this "feature" via the "Dynamic Dimming" section in the monitor's settings and I infinitely prefer things this way. I turned on FreeSync Premium, but that seems to make no difference.I don't have a gaming PC at the moment, but playing Starbound via the M2 Max Macbook Pro was fine and gameplay appeared smooth thanks to the 144hz refresh rate. I purchased this monitor for office professional and design work, so the high refresh rate is only a true bonus inasmuch that it makes productivity tasks more pleasant to experience. The only other thing I can think to mention right now is that there is virtually no backlight bleed on my unit, nor are there any dead pixels (tested via EIZO online tool). If anything changes, I will go back and update this review because I really do think it's a solid unit and should be getting more attention online.Edit: I have bought another one of these monitors so that I now have a pair, and they match in quality. I will probably hold onto them for a few years. I am a little peeved that I paid $375 for each, and I see the price is already down to $361, but what can you do.Also, I remembered that another reviewed pointed out that the screen flashes blue when it detects no input. This is true in that it does flash a bright blue just once for a few seconds when a computer goes to sleep, but for some reason it's only via HDMI and not Displayport (I have not tested USB-C). Perhaps the other reviewer's situation is different in some way, but this is hardly reason enough for me to return the monitors.
