Dank Amazon Prime wurde der Artikel sehr schnell, bereits am nächsten Tag, gut verpackt geliefert.Produktabbildung und Beschreibung entsprechen der Realität.Hier in Berlin ist das Wasser sehr hart, so dass ich seit Jahren diverse Wasserfilter benutze, zuletzt hatte ich eine Eigenmarke aus dem Drogeriemarkt, der nun aber nicht mehr schön war und ich nach Ersatz suchte. Ein Kriterium war, dass mein neuer Tischfilter weiß ist. Amazon zeigte mir daraufhin dieses Gerät in der Trefferliste ist.Die Füllmenge von 4L, die etwas andere Form – im Vergleich zu den meisten Mitbewerbern – und der Preis waren für mich kaufentscheidend.Der Wasserfilter riecht beim Auspacken nach gar nichts, verströmt also keinen unangenehmen Plastikgeruch und jedes Teil ist einzeln verpackt.Mein erster Gedanke beim Öffnen war, dass er nicht zu groß ist. Die Maße waren mir zwar aus der Beschreibung bekannt (bxtxh 18.5 x 18.5 x 27.7 cm), aber ich hatte doch Sorge, dass der Tischfilter zu monströs wirken könnte. Das ist nicht der Fall. Das Design und das große Füllvolumen gefallen mir sehr gut.Trotz des günstigen Preises und der Tatsache, dass er komplett aus Plastik ist, macht der Wasserfilter einen hochwertigen und gut verarbeiteten Eindruck. Es gibt keine scharfen Kanten oder Ecken. Alle Teile passen gut ineinander. Die Gesamtqualität überzeugt mich.Besonders gut finde ich, dass sich der Deckel beim Kippen nicht öffnet. Bei anderen Herstellern habe ich es oft erlebt, dass der Deckel festgehalten werden musste, damit das ungefilterte Wasser nicht oben hinausläuft.Bei diesem Model bleibt der Deckel von alleine zu.Die Anleitung liegt leider nur in Englisch vor, die Inbetriebnahme erklärt sich aber eigentlich von selbst und verlief schnell und problemlos.Zum Filtern von 1L Wasser braucht das Gerät ca. 3 Minuten. Die Filterleistung der mitgelieferten Kartusche empfinde ich als gut. Ich erkenne an meinem Wasserkocher sehr schnell wieviel Kalk im Wasser vorhanden ist. Seit der einwöchigen Nutzung des Filters habe ich bisher keine Kalkablagerungen im Wasserkocher.Ich bin mit dem Kauf sehr zufrieden und kann den AQUAPHOR Onyx Wasserfilter weiterempfehlen. Man bekommt ein gutes Produkt zu einem fairen Preis. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist gut.Vielen Dank für das Lesen meiner Rezension. Sehr schöne Optik, mehr Kapazität und schnellerer Durchfluss bei gleichem Filter als die Britta-Kanne. Und die Verbrauchsanzeige ist viel besser. Sie funktioniert rein mechanisch und zählt wie oft der Deckel zum Wasserauffüllen geöffnet wird. Dadurch entstehen keine Zusatzkosten und kein zusätzlicher Müll wie bei der Britta.Guter Kauf 👍👍👍

Update: I’ve been reading that filter jugs must be kept in the fridge in order to prevent bacteria and mould, so I’ve now lowered my top shelf in the fridge to fit the jug in.I’ve only had the AQUAPHOR Onyx jug for a short while, but so far, I can say that my filtered tap water tastes much nicer, and it’s good to know that the swimming pool smell coming out of my tap isn’t going into my water glass. The shape of the jug is much prettier than the usual jugs, but too big to keep in my fridge. I don’t mind, since I usually prefer my water not ice cold, and for the summer months I can pour it into a carafe that fits in my fridge. I didn’t find the instruction leaflet to be detailed enough, not even saying how much water can be poured into the jug, and the illustrations showing it filled to below the bottom of the cartridge holder, which is only around one litre, which would be crazy considering the jug is described as a 4-litre jug. All the photos on Amazon also show the water level below the filter cartridge holder. But thankfully, the Amazon description says that the capacity is just over 2 litres, so I fill the container twice. And after discovering that the counter for telling you when to replace the filter is based on the number of times the lid is raised, I’m now leaving the lid raised while waiting for the first litre to filter through in order to refill it again. Before I did that, the counter had moved from 100% to 80% after just several days. My main concern when purchasing this jug was ease of cleaning, because the last time I bought a filter jug several years ago, mould had formed in the crevices, which made me not to want to use plastic filter jugs anymore. The lid section is quite fiddly and very tight for removing and re-fitting for cleaning, so not very easy to lift it off to wash in the crevices without concern of cracking or breaking it. On the other hand, the lid design is very good, with the large flip top for filling being very easy to use, and the hinged cover on the spout works great for easy pouring. The filters claim to last for 200 litres, so for me, it should last for 100 days in theory, but when I asked the question to the community as to how long it lasts, most said they replace it after one month. So the cost of the filters will be much more expensive if that is the case. Now that I am leaving the lid open between each fill-up of the container, I’m hoping that the counter will give me an accurate indication. Some people said that they judge by the amount of white residue in their jug to know it’s time to replace the filter, but living in Scotland with soft water, I won’t know based on that. Now that I understand a bit more about the various choices of filter cartridge, I’ll order more for the one month mark and just hope that this first one actually lasts for three months as it claims.

like the large bulbus bottom very stable as others that fit in fridg door unstable , water is good to taste , as we have the worst hard water in england ,use this for everything tea coffee mix cordials , no scum on the top tea coffee taste as it should not chalky ,bought the full pack of extra filters with it as cant find them in the shops at the min no hardship as amazon has them

Bought it so I don't have to refill water three times while having dinner.It looks nice and durable but witj my old one you could pour the filtered water while the jug is doing her job. Not with this one, you have go wait until ALL THE WATER GOES DOWN.Also the filter it comes with gives a sweet taste to the water.
