I replaced a plastic dryer vent that crumbled in the Arizona sun with this it fit the vent tube perfectly and came with gloves to protect your hands from the edges but the didn't seem particularly sharp.

Way better than the plastic junk.

Its a well built solid vent cover. For us though the grate and mesh are small. Lint kept clogging it which kept giving me an AF (air flow) error code on my dryer. I switched it out with a different vent cover and no more error (or fire hazard).. So if you have a lot of lint this cover may not work.

Looks great, works perfect for outside wall mount

This item is easy to install and is easy to direct the exhaust flow. My exhaust is next to some landscaping shrubbery and was drying the plant, now the exhaust is directed away from the plant. The item could be improved with the addition of an extra screw hole or two to make attachment easier.

Hon&Guan 4'' Dryer Vent Cover was a simple fix for our dryer vent issue - looks good too.

I ended up disassembling mine and removing the mesh screen. Now it works much better.

This is an extremely dangerous product on two levels: 1) if you use if for a dryer vent, the way it is built will quickly get plugged up with lint (I think it's mostly meant for air flow only, but even then it would get clogged up fairly quickly) and 2) most importantly, as many have said, you WILL cut yourself handling this without gloves. It's build with razors essentially so one needs to put gloves on, but this won't protect anyone who services this product thereafter, won't know about the razors, and will slice their fingers. Should not be on AMAZON as far as I'm concerned as it is a clear safety hazard.

Watch the sharp edges on the inside edge. Wow did I cut my finger just taking the wrapping off. Have not installed yet waiting to heal first.

BEWARE! Vents are razor sharp! They will cut. Also the you’ll need tape to secure the vent hose as it’s a bit on the small size for 4” duct. Over all much nicer than the plastic one we used to have.

A very solid made item and does not come with backdraft damper.
